It is possible to have a leaking cam seal, crank seal, etc. Would this be bearings/seals worn in turbo or could it be a problem with the pcv system? Probably a job to say without stripping out the turbo! Thanks. I had oil bleeding out of the same places you spoke about on my Nissan, and found it to be sump pressure that releases oil via your tappet cover breather into your inlet, and with the turbo pressure, those pipe "sweat" out the oil on just about every joint. For the oil pressure gauge I bought a -4AN oil pressure adapter fitting. and the reason of oil presence in intake pipe is,,due to the oil seal or main bearing, and turbine may be worn,or brocken. I was hoping it was just the O-ring for the intercooler pipes but this was way too much oil. 〈Part # 18,24〉 3-2 Oil Pan Tapping (1) Remove the turbo charger, turbo manifold, gaskets and oil pan. for Mitsubishi Pajero 4M40 2. I had considered the turbo seal leak and installed a catch can in hopes the oil would no longer seep at the hotside boots, so far so good. It also appears that the oil pan itself is leaking, but only on the back of the engine. I had my car serviced today and the mechanic said that there was some oil leaking a pipe leading away from the turbo into the intercooler. Is this necessary or a waste of time and money? I. I decided to try blocking off the two intercooler pipes right before the y-pipe to see if my problem was simply air leaking through the engine. Thanks a lot, after doing some more checking, there was oil in the pass. Turbos don`t leak externally other than through intercooler piping but it seems its leaking from right under the turbo so maybe it`s your oil return line.
